What does feminism have to do with anything, anyway?

I always laugh when, in a discussion about feminism, someone asks me to “try not to make the argument personal,” or something to that effect. At that point it’s either I throw something at them or laugh and explain in my calmest voice that is always personal, that I consider myself feminist because I inhabit a body that is oppressed in various intersections and that it can’t be anything but personal.

So that’s what I am. A feminist. And this blog is as feminist as my perception can make it.
